God’s Trigger – a New Top-Down Hotline Miami-esque Slasher Revealed at Gamescom
One More Level announced God’s Trigger – a top-down action-packed slasher with original gameplay mechanics. The game will be shown at this week’s gamescom along with a playable version of Warlocks vs Shadows.
Polish developer One More Level invites all gamescom visitors to show up at their booth to witness the reveal of God’s Trigger – a fast-paced top-down 3D action slasher that Hotline Miami fans should keep an eye on. The game’s protagonist is Zoran, a Balkan War veteran who escaped the horrors of war and became a priest in a New York parish. However, the peaceful state won’t last, as Zoran’s flock is threatened by mafia. Armed with holy rage and loads of melee and ranged weapons Zoran has to use his combat experience and fight the evil as a God’s Trigger.
The game features unique gameplay mechanics – for as long as the hero is moving time flows normally, but as he stops time slows down too. In order to refill this so-called Divine Focus the player has to kill at least one enemy without the feature being active. Besides, God’s Trigger uses One Mistake rule, which means a single hit is deadly for Zoran. Apart from single player mode you can play in online or local co-op for 2 people.
Another gamescom attraction from One More Level is a playable version of Warlocks vs Shadows, a multiplayer action-RPG brawler that has been available for some time on Steam Early Access. The full release of the game is planned for the 19 August 2015.
One more announcement from One More Level: the studio launches a new bundle platform on 8 September 2015. Details on One More Bundle will be shared at gamescom. Here’s the website.
