God of War Takes the Crown on Steam; Monster Hunter Rise Follows

God of War got off to a great start on PC. The adventures of Kratos and Atreus were not only the best-selling title on Steam last week, but also reached over 73.5k concurrent players.

After conquering Sony's consoles, Kratos took to the PC, and as usual, he made short work of the stage. 2018'sGod of War released on PC last Friday, turned out to be the absolute sales hit on Steam. Santa Monica's latest game reached the top of the bestseller list, knocking Ready or Not off the spot.

The spiritual heir to the S.W.A.T. series ended up "only" on the fourth place. The lower steps of the podium were taken by different versions of Monster Hunter: Rise ("regular" and Deluxe Edition), released two days before GoW. The top five was closed by the preorders of the eagerly awaited Elden Ring (which I myself contributed to).

The second part of the top 10 is a repeat of the previous week. New on the list - in addition to the regulars like Valve Index VR kit, Project Zomboid (still experiencing a new life), It Takes Two and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach - is only the preorder of Dying Light 2, which will debut in just over two weeks, specifically on February 4. Techland's game remains the second most frequently added wishlist title on Valve's platform - right after the aforementioned Elden Ring. The full list of last week's hits on Steam can be found below.
