Ghostlore is a Cool and Cheap Alternative to Diablo 4

Looking for an alternative to Diablo 4? Inspired by the second installment, Ghostlore offers a unique South Asian atmosphere, pretty visuals and interesting character progression. It's also available on PC/Xbox Game Pass.

Diablo IV seems to be great - we'll find out whether it's true in about half a day - but it's also quite expensive. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you might consider playing Ghostlore.

  1. This title was released on May 18 for PC and XOne - on Steam it costs around $20.
  2. In addition, it was released on PC/Xbox Game Pass.
  3. It is an action game inspired by Diablo II and Titan Quest, taking on the folklore of Southeast Asia.
  4. With a custom character, we can play a story campaign in which we defend the island of Seaport from the temptations of mogui - hostile spiritual beings.
  5. In total, in Ghostlore we encounter more than forty monsters inspired by folk beliefs of the Far East, such as Jiangshi (a Chinese jumping zombie), Rakshasa (a shape-shifter) or Pontianak (a female ghost living on banana trees).
  6. We battle them using a rich arsenal of weapons - krises, bows, parangs, kukri and spears.
  7. The game also offers an interesting character progression system - enabling us to sort of build a skill tree from found glyphs, as well as to combine the attributes of three of the six classes.
  8. In addition to the story campaign, you can play in asynchronous multiplayer mode, up to four-player single-screen co-op or Hell Gate Island's Endless Mode.

What tempts in Ghostlore at first sight, however, is lovely pixel art graphics.
