Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut Purchased Before Release [UPDATED]
Single copies of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut randomly appeared on the shelves of a Walmart store. This enabled the player to share details about the game online.
Update:
Today, the developers also shared with us the official trailer for the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut.
Original message:
- In one of the American Walmarts Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut was accidentally displayed on sale;
- A player who purchased the title has posted information and screenshots from the game online;
- According to him, the game looks awesome on PS5.
Although there are two days left until the release of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, US retailer Walmart has already received boxes with the game. Some store apparently got ahead of themselves and put them on their shelves. Before the error was noticed, at least one player managed to purchase the game. This enabled him to reveal new information even before the game was released.
He posted his comments on one of the Facebook groups. He also attached pictures to the post to show that the pieces of information are not fake. They present elements which were not shown in any official materials. So we can be almost sure that the leak is reliable.
According to the player, Director's Cut will offer us two new Survival maps for Legends mode and enable us to repeat duels and missions. In addition, the game in this version reportedly runs very well on PlayStation 5. The rendering range is supposed to be much larger and comparable to that in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Ghost of Tsushima is also supposed to look simply better than the original version. The player also shared an image of the Iki Island map, the size of which heralds a lot of exploration.
So it looks like Sucker Punch really adapted their game to the standards of next-gen consoles. By the way, we can also suspect that the new thread associated with a previously unknown island will provide us with another hour of gameplay. So it remains to survive the last two days of waiting and then return to 13th-century Japan.
