Ghost of Tsushima at 120 FPS on PC, Rumors Claim
More rumors about the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima surfaced online. They seem to suggest that this release will offer, among other things, the ability to play at 120 frames per second.
Last Saturday we wrote about interesting rumours suggesting that God of War, Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima- three excellent PlayStation 4 exclusive titles - were coming to PC.
Their source is popular and usually well-informed YouTuber Jeremy Penter (aka Angry Centaur), who also hinted during the Last Stand Media podcast that a port of Ghost of Tsushima will be coming to PC. He also expressed excitement about how Sucker Punch's game will look on PC. He mentioned improvements such as 120 fps (which is impossible even on PS5), 4K resolution, improved anti-aliasing, and the ability to increase the draw distance with high detail. It sounded like he was talking about features he already knows we'll find in the PC release.
The prospect of PC versions of PlayStation classics is not something hard to imagine. Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition has already hit the PC, and Days Gone will join it in May. In addition, Jim Ryan (CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment) has recently announced that other large games are waiting in line for porting.
Exclusives sell consoles, but Sony is currently focused on the PlayStation 5 and doesn't feel the need to encourage people to buy a PS4. In addition, most of the items ported to PC will live to see sequels on the PS5. These sequels will be of interest to gamers who'll discover these brands on PC. Some of them will probably not want to wait for possible ports and will buy Sony's next-gen.
During the podcast the participants also talked about exclusives in general. According to them, in the near future a lot of excitement will be aroused by information about which hardware platforms will be available for games from major studios. Most likely it's not only about ports of older games from PS4 to PC, but also about which Bethesda titles will be kept by Microsoft only on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and which will be shared with other consoles.
