Ghost of Tsushima 2 Approaching; Devs Looking for Experienced Staff
Sucker Punch may be working on a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. This is suggested by the job offers published by the company.
- Job offers published by Sucker Punch suggest that the studio is working on a new game.
- Their description may indicate that the developers are gathering a team for Ghost of Tsushima 2.
- It is possible that the studio is also working on a second game, created with multiplayer experience in mind.
It looks like Sucker Punch is working on a new game. This title may be a sequel to the well-received Ghost of Tsushima.
This scenario is suggested by job offers published by the company. The requirements contained in them clearly connect with the latest work of the developers.
Ghost of Tsushima 2 may be in development
The most interesting information was posted in the job offer related to the position of Encounter Designer. This employee would help in creating an open-world game. Its gameplay would focus on melee combat and stealth.
Information about the complex combat system can also be found in other job offers, such as Senior Combat Designer and Technical Combat Design. From these the offers we can deduce that the game will include a system of parrying, and special skills will help us in clashes.
In addition, individual offers contain an interesting detail. An additional requirement is to be familiar with the studio's previous games. It is doubtful, however, that they mean the last part of inFamous, which debuted 8 years ago.
Most likely they are talking about Ghost of Tsushima. This is the only modern game from Sucker Punch, the knowledge of which could really help the staff.
So all this together seems to suggest that the developers are assembling a team to work on Ghost of Tsushima 2. Keep in mind, however, that these are only conclusions drawn from the job advertisements.
It is possible that, in fact, the studio is working on a new IP that will offer gameplay similar to that known from the company's latest game.
Two games or one with a multi mode?
The aforementioned offers are not the only ones we can find on Sucker Punch's website. Among them, there are also quite a few advertisements for multiplayer specialists.
This may be related to the mysterious multiplayer project, about which we wrote last year. At that time we wondered whether this was about a new independent game or just a multiplayer mode for an already existing title.
This question can also be asked today. It is possible that Sucker Punch is working on two games simultaneously. One of them would be a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima and the other a title focused on multiplayer.
However, it is possible that these projects are related to each other. Perhaps the developers are planning to enrich the upcoming production with a multiplayer mode, which would be much more developed than the rather simple Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
For now, we can only speculate. Solid information should be revealed when the work on the next game is officially announced.
