Get Even delayed due to Manchester attack
Get Even is delayed again - this time, however, the decision was made due to the recent terrorist attack in Manchester. The game is going to launch a month later.
Polish studio The Farm 51 has decided to postpone the launch of their psychological horror shooter Get Even by a month due to the recent terrorist attack in Manchester, England. The game was supposed to come out this Friday, on May 26 – the new release date is set to June 23, 2017. Get Even will launch simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This is what the Poles wrote in the official press note:
Given recent events and out of respect we have decided to postpone the commercial release of Get Even to June 23rd. We would like to express our deepest condolences to everyone concerned.
While Get Even does not refer to terrorism directly, the game’s theme might seem a bit controversial in the face of the recent events. You play as a mercenary and private detective who wakes up confined in an abandoned asylum, his only memory being of a failed mission to save a girl with a bomb strapped to her chest. The game is going to use interesting mechanics combining elements of adventure and first-person shooter and complex plot involving reliving the protagonist’s lost memories.
