Alpha key for Delta Force Hawk Ops from Twitch Drops explained
Update: Developers have apologized on the official Discord channel for problems in distributing Twitch Drops in the yesterday’s event.
We've received your feedback regarding the issues some are having with Twitch Drops - our team would like to sincerely apologize for that.
It seems that in some cases the PC Alpha key is not displaying correctly, while in other cases viewers are not being rewarded despite having watched the required amount of content.
We are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible, if you meet the following during our previous Twitch Drop rounds - our team will allocate the access for those who didn't receive the drops correctly via email after August 7 2024 14:00 CET:
- Have completed 1 hour of watching the livestream.
- Successfully bind LEVEL INFINITE PASS on the page
Extraction shooters are on the rise lately and seem to be the next step in evolution of military FPS. Delta Force series, brought back after a long hiatus, joins this trend. The latest part, Hawk Ops, does not have the release date yet, however it’s possible to try it out early during closed alpha tests. One of the methods of obtaining the key is by Twitch Drops.
There are two waves when the keys are dropped, but sadly, one of those has already passed. The only available one (as of now), will happen at the following dates:
- Aug 10th 14:00 (UTC)
- Aug 17th 23:00 (UTC)
The remaining events will offer alpha keys that cannot be redeemed on Steam, but on Level Infinite’s proprietary game launcher. If you are lucky enough to get the key, you will have to activate it. The process of using them, though, is quite convoluted:
- Make sure to log into your Twitch account and watch at least 60 minutes of content from any eligible streamer who participates in the event with Drops enabled.
- You will receive a message on Twitch that will ask you to login to Level Infinite account and bind the Twitch one.
- After the accounts are successfully bound, you should automatically gain access to the alpha test. The title will be available to download from the official Hawk Ops site.
- Keep in mind that the number of keys may be limited, and distributed on first-come, first-serve basis, as it was in the case of previous Twitch event.
It is important to note that the process described above is valid only for the remaining wave of Twitch Drops, that will provide keys for Level Infinite’s launcher. If at any point in the future there are more similar events, it is possible that they will offer Steam keys, too.
The process of activating them will be similar, with the slight difference that will require you to redeem the key on Steam by clicking on “Games” menu in Steam’s top bar, then “Activate a Product on Steam…” and following the instructions on screen.
Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha key on Steam
In the event of not being lucky enough to get a key from Twitch Drops, there is one more way that can allow you to test Hawk Ops. It is rather simple as it only requires you to go to the game’s official Steam Store page and click “Request Access” in the “Join the Delta Force Playtest” label.
Please bear in mind that though the developers claim that they would like to have as many players as possible to test their game, the number of available keys is limited and not everyone will get theirs. Additionally, there are only a number of supported regions that can get the keys. Citing the FAQ posted by creators here:
This PC Alpha Test will focus on North America and Europe (including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic).
Hopefully, now you know what to expect from those closed Alpha Tests and how to activate the keys. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for you. If you are still unable to get the key, don’t worry as the game is said to be free-to-play when it releases, so sooner or later you will be able to give it a try one way or another. Good luck!
