Games With Gold for February 2022 (Broken Sword 5, Hydrophobia, and More)

We got to know the games that will be available as part of the monthly Games with Gold offer, a program that covers both Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Xbox console owners will be able to play four titles in February:

1. Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse - February 1 through February 28 (Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S).
2. Aerial_Knight's Never Yield - February 16 through March 15 (Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S).
3. Hydrophobia - February 1 through 15 (Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S).
4. Band of Bugs - February 16 through 28 (Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S).

Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse

The fifth installment of Broken Sword - a series of point & click adventure games. Players take on the roles of George Stobbart, an American patent attorney, and Nicole "Nico" Collard, a French journalist. This time the two protagonists follow the trail of a thief-murderer, and their investigation leads them to a conspiracy that dates back to ancient times.

Aerial_Knight's Never Yield

In the game, we play as Wally, who travels through the futuristic city of Detroit, inspired by the architecture of Tokyo. Never Yield is an indie auto-runner, created by one person, known by the handle included in the game's title. The magnet here is definitely the soundtrack by Danime-sama (a Detroit-based artist), which fits perfectly into the game's genre, turning up the dynamics.

Hydrophobia

The work of Blade Interactive is an indie game with logic elements. There are also some solutions typical for action adventure games. The title is not the newest one, so we can play it in backward compatibility mode. Nevertheless, unusual game mechanics, based on manipulating water and eliminating opponents with its help, and dark atmosphere make the title worth testing.

Band of Bugs

The last of the games we'll get as part of the Games with Gold offer in February also uses backward compatibility. In Band of Bugs we play as Maal, a bug whose task is to defeat opponents in the name of defending the queen. Battles are played in turns, and the title itself is a strategy game.

Free games on other platforms

Xbox console owners aren't the only ones who can enjoy free access to the games. February plans related to the PS Plus subscription were also announced by Sony - you can read about them here. It is also worth remembering that since yesterday in Epic Games Store we can pick up Daemon X Machina. On the said platform there is also a Lunar New Year Sale, during which we can buy many titles at attractive prices. Steam also did not forget about the Chinese New Year, organizing on this occasion the Steam Lunar Sale 2022.
