New F2P Harry Potter RPG Launches Next Week
Fans of the Harry Potter universe may be interested in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. In a week we will be able to test this free RPG on mobile devices.
If you are a fan of the Harry Potter novels or feel unsatisfied after The Hogwarts Legacy and would like to do some more magic, then you may be interested in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. This free-to-play game with comic book-like visuals will be available on June 27 on Android and iOS mobile devices. You can watch the latest trailer for the game below.
Modern Hogwarts
Players from eastern countries (including China, where the game has become extremely popular) have access to Magic Awakened for almost two years now, while the release for the rest of the world will follow in a week. Its plot of the game - unlike The Hogwarts Legacy, which took place in the 19th century - takes place a decade after the events of the Harry Potter books, so in the game we will encounter many famous characters, including Hagrid and Minerva McGonagall.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is not as big a game as the aforementioned title from Avalanche Software and does not offer an open world, but it is an interesting mix of RPG and card game. In the game we will create our own wizard, join one of the Hogwarts Houses, make friends with other students and even play quidditch.
On top of that, there are battles in which the main role is played by the cards we collect (there are more than 70 of these in the game). Clashes take place in real time. We can also duel other players in 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 modes.
Pre-registration bonuses
If you are intrigued by Magic Awakened, then you can already register on the game's official website. This will give you a set of cards and other bonuses upon release (including gold, in-game currency). The number of rewards increases with the number of registered players - at this moment there are about 3.5 million.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is also supposed to come out on PC, but we don't know when this will happen - if the developers still have a plan to release their work on this platform, that is.
