We have bad news for fans of racing games. Microsoft announced of the planned "end of life" for Forza Motorsport 7, which will take place on September 15, this year.
This sounds threatening, but fortunately does not mean a complete abandonment of support for the project. On September 15, the game and its DLCs will only be withdrawn from sale. Nothing will change for those who bought the game and its expansions earlier. They will still be able to download them to their PCs and consoles. There are also no plans to disable multiplayer servers.
So if you consider buying Forza Motorsport 7 we advise you to hurry. Currently, the game can be purchased very cheaply, because the Microsoft Store is running a special offer - the price has been reduced by 75%. The discount will remain valid until the game is removed from distribution.
On September 15 the game will also be removed from the Game Pass subscription offer. People paying for the subscription who bought the DLCs for Forza Motorsport 7 will receive a free token that will add the full version of the game to their account, enabling them to continue playing.
Microsoft makes every effort to ensure that owners of the game do not feel wronged. Despite this, it is difficult to hide the disappointment. Forza Motorsport 7 debuted less than four years ago. Removing the game from sale after such a short time seems strange, especially since it's still one of the best representatives of the genre on PC.
The situation is aggravated by the fact that the eighth installment of the series has not yet been announced. Fans of spin-off series Forza Horizon can look forward to the November release of the fifth installment, and yet no one is talking about the "end of life" of FH4.
