Forza Horizon 5 Gameplay, Limited Edition Controller and More From Gamescom 2021
The creators of Forza Horizon 5 have shared a new gameplay video, as well as more information about the game. They also announced a limited Forza Horizon 5 controller, which features a unique translucent casing.
During Microsoft's show accompanying the beginning of gamescom 2021, Forza Horizon 5 developers shared more information related to the title. The first attraction for fans is undoubtedly the eight-minute gameplay video. It depicts the very beginning of the game, during which we, among other things, slide down the slope of a volcano and escape from an incoming sandstorm, only to end up on the site of the Horizon Festival.
During this crazy drive through the Mexican wilderness we get to see the Ford Bronco Badlands 2021 and Mercedes AMG One, which will appear on the game's cover and all promo materials. The vehicles received their own separate trailer.
During the event we also found out that Microsoft has prepared a surprize for the Forza fans in the form of a limited edition wireless controller, which will officially go on sale on November 9 (pre-orders start today). The gamepad has a striking transparent yellow casing. It's adorned with contrasting color accents in turquoise and pink, which can also be found on the knobs and triggers. The bottom of the controller has been covered with a texture reminiscent of the one that can be found on sports car steering wheels. All owners of the controller will also receive a DLC for Forza Horizon 5, which includes a smiley for the player's driver and cosmetic items.
Forza Horizon 5 will be released in stores on November 9, simultaneously on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. All Xbox Game Pass subscription holders will be able to download the title at no additional cost on the release date. Forza Horizon 5 is available for pre-order in standard (available on Game Pass), as well as deluxe and premium editions. With deluxe, we get a pack of 42 additional cars (so-called Car Pass). Owners of the premium version will also get all the upcoming DLCs (two major expansions plus Car Pass) and the opportunity to play the game earlier (starting November 5).
