Forza Horizon 5 Breaks Records; 15 Million Players in 2 Months

Forza Horizon 5 has already been launched on 15 million accounts. This result was obtained two months after the game's release. Undoubtedly, its availability in the Xbox Game Pass service was a major contributing factor.

January 9, 2022 marked exactly two months since the release of Forza Horizon 5 on PC, XONE and XSX|S. The title received very good ratings and is attracting millions more players at a truly racing pace. Just three days after its release, 6 million people were cruising the picturesque roads of Mexico. A week later there were already 10 million, and yesterday - more than 15 million. The crossing of a new milestone was noticed by a game analyst writing on Twitter, known as MauroNL (@MauroNL3). He shared the following screenshot:

Of course, this does not mean that the numbers shown here reflect the actual number of active players - some of them certainly abandoned Playground Games' latest title long ago, and others may have started the game from scratch on a second account. Therefore, it's safer to say that more than 15 million accounts launched Forza Horizon 5. Either way, the result is very impressive.

An undoubted influence on the game's success has had its presence in Xbox Game Pass - both on PC and Microsoft consoles. Especially that in the launch period, the PC version of this subscription could be purchased for just $1. However, the fact that thanks to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service the title can run in the cloud, makes it possible for almost every person interested in it to check it out. Interestingly, this did not stop Playground Games' title from selling well.
