Former BioShock Devs are Finishing Work on New Game
It seems that Ghost Story Games, a studio founded by the legendary Ken Levine and key developers of the BioShock series, is in the final stage of preparing its debut project. The game may be released within the next few months.
Ghost Story Games is a Take-Two Interactive's devteam, founded in 2017 by industry legend Ken Levine and several former employees of Irrational Games (the BioShock series, System Shock 2), including artistic director Shawn Robertson and producer Don Roy. It has been quite quiet about it since its founding. However, we know that the team has been developing its debut project for several years now. The studio's recent job offer indicates that it is in the final stage of preparation.
Ghost Story Games is currently looking for a senior producer, who will deliver a project of an SF FPS shooter with RPG elements. According to the offer, it is to be finalized within the next 18 months. Unfortunately, the job description does not reveal more details. However, the studio requires from the future employee a good knowledge of the achievements of Irrational Games and the philosophy that the team followed in the development of its titles.
The first work of Ghost Story Games will therefore appear in early 2022 at the earliest. The studio will devote nearly five years of uninterrupted work to it. It is worth noting that the devs remain very secretive and reveal almost nothing about their title. Only once, a few years ago, they mentioned that they were inspired by the Nemezis system, which appeared in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
