After a bumpy release on PC Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition is slowly pulling itself together. The Dutch studio Guerrilla Games, which has ported its game from PlayStation 4 to PC by itself, released another update yesterday.
The new patch for the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn is marked 1.04 and focuses again on fixing critical bugs found by the players. Important things on the official fixes list include crashing to desktop when we have filled up save game slots, freezing when quickly changing the value of the sliders in the options, AI detection errors, and problems with Shader Model 6.0 and 6.1 support.
In addition to crashing, Guerrilla Games has also focused on improving the performance, optimizing the use of CPU, which can translate into a 10% performance increase during the game. The list of changes also mentions improvements in HDR support, improved mouse aiming, and minimized errors with texture display and volumetric effects in lighting.
Guerrilla Games points out that the work on Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition is not over. The company is aware of the problems with anisotropic filtering and implementation of HDR technology, as well as the loss of performance on selected hardware configurations.
