Sackboy: A Big Adventure is one of the launch titles for PlayStation 5 (also available on PlayStation 4) that few players seem to remember. That's a shame, because the reviews of the game indicate that it's at least a solid platformer. According to the critics, Sumo Digital's work is perfect both as a presentation of the capabilities of the DualSense controller and as entertainment for the whole family or as a "launch title" for our kids. So let's have a look at some of the scores given to this project and see what its advantages and disadvantages are noted by industry critics.
At the time of writing, the average score of Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PlayStation 5 is 78% (on Metacritic).

Among the most important advantages of Sackboy: A Big Adventure is undoubtedly the audiovisual setting. The game looks very pleasing to the eye, especially on PlayStation 5, but the PlayStation 4 version is not far behind either. The game is also full of various jokes. Battle-hardened players will also appreciate the responsive controls and the way it uses haptic vibrations and adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller. All this makes the game a great platformer, provided that we can turn a blind eye to the lack of creative solutions known from the LittleBigPlanet series.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure doesn't bring any breath of fresh air into the genre, drawing in spades from the output of many others. In addition, over time, monotony creeps into the game and the fun becomes somewhat repetitive. Moreover, the story told in it does not surprise with anything revealing, although on the other hand, the main villain may seem quite interesting. The lack of online multiplayer mode may also be a problem for some players, but it is to be introduced in a free update before the end of the year.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure debuted on November 12 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
