Final Fantasy Digital Card Game Announced
Square Enix announced the Final Fantasy Digital Card Game. This year's production will go to the Japanese market and is dedicated to computers and mobile devices.
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Digital Card Game. The production will debut in Japan this year and is aimed at mobile devices with iOS and Android systems, as well as computers. What's more, the release is probably not too distant, as the closed beta-tests of the game will take place from January 18-25.
Final Fantasy Digital Card Game will allow us to assemble a deck full of heroes and monsters (including summones such as Ifrit, Bahamut and Shiva), known from the cult jRPG Final Fantasy series. What's interesting, the board on which the game takes place, visible on the screen below, resembles a battle scene from the old versions of the series – playing cards results in the appearance on the table of two-dimensional, miniature models, which stand opposite each other in two rows.
So far we do not know whether Final Fantasy Digital Card Game will also appear on Western markets – Square Enix's announcement concerned Japan only, but given the great popularity of Final Fantasy in the world, it cannot be ruled out that the digital card will also go to other continents.
