FIFA 21 Road to the Final Event Begins Tomorrow
On November 6, a new event called „Road to the Final” will launch in FIFA 21. It is related to the Champions League.
For a long time now, a certain trend in FIFA games has been clearly visible - practically every week Electronic Arts presents the players with some special cards. In Ultimate Team Mode of FIFA 21, an event called "Rebels" is just ending. As we've seen from the loading screens that have been appearing for a few days now, it will be replaced by another event called "Road to the Final". It will start on November 6 at 10 AM PT.
A similarly named event has already taken place in FIFA 20, so from this we can conclude that the new event is directly related to the matches of the Champions League that are played simultaneously. Several selected players who stood out in the group phase of the competition will receive special cards, with their design referring to the Champions League. The cards of RTTF (Road to the Final) players differ significantly from the basic ones. They have increased statistics, but the most important thing is that each time a player's team is promoted by one round, their overall rating increases. So if, for example, Erling Haaland receives an RTTF card rated at 88 points, it will be raised to 89 when his club (Borussii Dortmund) leaves the group. Likewise, if Borussia wins in 8th final, Haaland will already have an overall od 90, 91 if BVB wins in quarter final as well, and so on.
During the event there will probably be a dozen or so RTTF cards available, which can be found in the packs or acquired by means of squad building challenges and weekly events. Thanks to EA Sports' Twitter entry, we learned that the first Road to the Final card will be given to the winning team in the match between Real Madrid and Inter Mediola in the Champions League. The team from the Spanish capital won the meeting, so the player who will receive the special RTTF card, available through the squad building challenge, is Isco, Real Madrid's mid-fielder.
FIFA 21 launched on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 9, this year. On December 4, 2020, it will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The next-gen version will have a much better and more realistic graphics.
