Fear the Wolves Leaves Early Access
Today marks the release of Fear the Wolves, an online battle royale FPS from the co-developers of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
After more than five months of early access, we have witnessed the launch of Fear the Wolves, the online battle royale FPS from Vostok Games, a team founded by former GSC Game World employees, has finally arrived. This S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-reminiscent title is currently available only on PC, but in the future it will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
On the occasion of the release of the full version, the creators have prepared a new trailer for Fear the Wolves. You can watch it below.
Along with the release, the title received another big patch, introducing a lot of changes. These include a system of artifacts providing powerful special skills, another mutant, new items for customization, improvements to the interface, optimization and enemy AI, and the fixing of a number of annoying bugs reported by the community. The full contents of the updates can be found here. On the aforementioned page you will also read about all the elements added by the five biggest updates that have seen the light of day during Fear the Wolves’ early access period.
In addition, as promised, the free week with Fear the Wolves started at 9AM PST. Until 12 February, anyone interested in the game will be able to check what Vostok Games' production has to offer. If you like it, you will be able to buy it on Steam for half price at $9.99
Although Fear the Wolves may tempt with its harsh, post-apocalyptic atmosphere, changing weather conditions, day and night cycle and the need to battle not only with living opponets, but also with dangerous fauna, the title has not gained much popularity. According to Steamcharts, yesterday, only 37 people were playing at the daily peak. Will the release, free week and a promotion improve this state of affairs? The next few day will show.
