Fallout 4 to get a massive story-based mod set in Seattle
A huge Fallout 4 mod called Fallout Cascadia is being developed by fans. The modification is to feature a new campaign set in Seattle. The new region will be almost as big as Fallout 3 game area.
A group of dedicated Fallout 4 fans are currently working on a massive mod featuring a new game area “just a bit smaller than Fallout 3, but [filled with] more quests and locations than Fallout 4’s Far Harbor DLC”. The project called Fallout Cascadia will comprise a separate campaign set in the city of Seattle and its surrounding area (including Mercer Island, Redmond, Bellevue, and more). Its story will take place several decades after the original Fallout 4 storyline – due to the fact that moving back and forth between the Pacific Northwest and the Commonwealth will be impossible.
The team behind Cascadia consists of 18 experienced modders, and they’re looking to expand – if you feel you know your way around the Creation Kit, you are welcome to contact them (check out the project’s website). The plan is to make the mod free and able to run on any rig that handled Fallout 4, including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The bad news is that we will have to wait for it, and long. The works started about 6 months ago, but since it is a totally free project, they are expected to take several more years.
