Yesterday, the Space Age DLC for Factorio that has been in development for almost 4 years officially debuted, along with the equally impressive update 2.0. The expansion not only received a very positive reception, but also brought the title to the top of the Steam bestseller list and helped set a new activity record.

Record player activity

At the time of writing this text, over 34 thousand users are playing Factorio, but at the hottest moment of Space Age's release day, there were as many as 91,801 people in the game at one time. This result is significantly higher than at the time of the premiere of version 1.0 in 2020. At that time, the record was "only" 34,700 concurrent players (via SteamDB ).

"Overwhelmingly positive" reviews

Along with high player activity come equally impressive reviews. Factorio: Space Age It currently has 1,716 reviews on Steam, with 98% of them being positive. So, Wube Software Studio has a big reason to be proud.

There is one main conclusion to be drawn from the reviews – Space Age is more Factorio in Factorio. If you like the base game, this expansion is a must-buy and you will love it too. It doesn't turn the game upside down, but simply expands it with new elements, providing even more possibilities, which can engage for long hours.

It's worth noting that both the base game and the DLC reached the top of Steam's bestseller list, overtaking titles such as Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and October's hit Liar's Bar. As we can see the strategy game is doing very well.

Factorio: Space Age is available for purchase on Steam and GOG for $35.00. So the price is identical to that in the base game.
