Facebook Messenger gets Dark Mode?
It seems like the Dark Mode is finally coming to Facebook Messenger, the new layout is currently being tested in several undisclosed countries.
The implementation of night mode is a common solution among the developers of mobile applications. It is not only an option for more convenient operation of Android and iOS applications in the dark, but also a chance to reduce battery consumption, which in the case of mobile devices is an absolute priority.
Facebook is currently working on such a solution, as the company began testing a dark skin for Facebook Messenger, one of the most popular mobile instant messengers, in several countries. This solution can be launched in the "Mine" tab, although the overlay has not yet been offered in some countrie; in fact, we do not know which countries have gained access to this option.
For the time being, the dark mode can only be used in a trial version – after it is activated, a message appears that the solution is in the testing phase. The screens that surfaced on the web show that the overlay is not yet fully functional – white spots appear in a few places, so developers have some polishing left to do. It seems, however, that the official appearance of the new mode is a matter of a few weeks at the most.
