Hunt Showdown - The Ward of the Reptilian questline
At the end of March, Hunt Showdown received update 1.12, and with it a new questline, called The Ward of the Reptilian. As part of it, you can earn a number of rewards - including a legendary hunter and two new variants of the Winfield M1876 Centennial. In order to unlock them, you must perform the tasks provided for a specific level and earn a certain number of points.
One of the tasks available within this questline is "Investigate Gator Traps." Its completion yields a lot, so it enables you to quickly unlock new rewards. On the other hand, however, Gator Traps are a fairly new item on the map, having appeared in the game just with The Ward of the Reptilian. Therefore, finding them can be problematic even for experienced players.
Hunt Showdown - how to find Gator Traps?
The search for Gator Traps itself is relatively easy. You just need to be in the vicinity of a body of water (which is why the best map for searching them is Stillwater Bayou). Once you are there, use Dark Sight regularly. If the trap is in the area then you will see a streak of white light that will lead you to your destination.
Of course, there is a chance that you will come across a Gator Trap by accident. This is because there are also cages and hunting nets placed randomly on the map.
You can search for Gator Traps regardless of whether you have an active task related to finding them. As a reward for doing so, you will receive a small amount of Hunt Dollars.
