The first reviews of Everspace 2 are appearing across the Internet. The full version of this charming space shooter is being praised by reviewers.

More than two years have passed since the release of Everspace 2 in early access. During this time, the developers have released many updates, introducing a ton of new fighters, planetary systems, factions or missions, so you could not complain about the lack of content. Already this Thursday, fans of the game will be able to discover even more secrets of the beautiful universe - the full version of Everspace 2 on PC is just around the corner.

In connection with this the first reviews of this space shooter are hitting the web, which describe it practically in only positives. According to the critics, it is more of the same goodness that we have been dealing with in early access. At this point the title boasts an average rating of 86% on Metacritic, based on 10 reviews and the same score on OpenCritic based on 13 reviews.

Everspace 2 is a vast galaxy to explore, an engaging story and an endgame that encourages staying in the game. The full version, compared to early access, may not offer anything revealing or change the combat system, but therein lies its strength. The fact that Everspace 2 is a good and engaging game has been known to the players for two years now and they were vocal about it - as evidenced by, for example, 87% positive reviews on Steam (out of more than 5,000). The high scores from the critics thus seem to have been a formality.

"It may seem that Everspace 2 is more of the same, especially through the slow prologue, but there's more going on here than is apparent at first glance. (...) Exploration is better than ever, and although the combat system hasn't changed too much, the carefully balanced resource management makes each game experience fresh and exciting," wrote Shacknews, 8/10.

As mentioned, release of the full version of Everspace 2 on PCs will take place on April 6. The game's price has been increased on release. At a later date, the game will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
