Europe Map in Bannerlord Will be Expanded; Modder Solved Key Issue

The creator of a modification for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord that transforms the original map into medieval Europe has managed to expand the map to resemble the real thing. The gameing community admires the project's scope.

A popular modification for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, which brings the action of the game to medieval Europe, will soon be enriched with a large area of terrain. The mod's map has been significantly expanded, which was announced, to the delight of players, by the author - modder Lemmy1916.

Europe in its full glory

Until now, the size of the map was limited by the size of the original arena, which was smaller than the European continent. A large part of Eastern Europe or even half of the Balkan territory was missing. As mentioned by the creator himself in the mod's description on Nexus Mods:

"For technical reasons, as I'm a beginner modder, I preferred to keep the same size of the base map, so I had to decide to put only a part of Europe, in order not to have too small countries. I also took the liberty to modify the map according to the gameplay, but also according to my vision."

However, Lemmy1916 managed to get around these limitations and expanded the map to reflect the shape of Europe as closely as possible. The map has not yet been released, but you can already see how it looks.

Reactions of players are positive, in the comments you can feel the admiration for the scale of future expeditions:

"In 3 years this mod will become a full world map, then we'll just have to somehow implement the ancient worlds into it," writes Reddit user Eddyliversausage.

Some players are puzzled by the issue of how travel can lengthen on the new map:

"The Kingdom of Galicia has declared war on the Duchy of Moscow.

Now you have to travel on your Galician peasant ass without a horse for about 40 days, and by the time you get there they will have signed a peace treaty."

Nevertheless, the project is very ambitious and fans of Mount & Blade, as well as enthusiasts of medieval history, will certainly have something to look forward to.
