We learned more details related to ETS2: West Balkans. This time the developers showed us what the border crossings will look like.
SCS Software has discussed further details on West Balkans, the upcoming DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This time the developers decided to present us with border crossings. However, that's not all. It was also informed that the possibility of creating dedicated servers has arrived into the game.
Border crossings in ETS2: West Balkans
In an entry published on the official blog of SCS Software we will find a number of interesting facts about how crossing borders between countries will look like. This is important because the DLC will introduce as many as eight different countries. As a result, controls in the area will be the order of the day.
According to the announcement, we will encounter a number of different border crossings while driving through the Western Balkans. Each of them will be unique in its own way. We will come across both small outposts and huge border crossing points.
Crossing between countries will itself become a complex process. There will be document checks, in addition, there may be X-ray checks where your cargo will be examined. You may already be familiar with this if you have traveled through the areas from the Road to the Black Sea DLC.
Dedicated servers
The developers at SCS Software have presented also a brand new option for those playing in multiplayer mode. From now on in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator it is possible to set up a dedicated server. Thanks to this, the presence of a host is not required to join the game. However, you should have the SteamCMD tool installed in order to take advantage of this feature.
