Update 1.49 for ETS2 is now available
Until now, update 1.49 has been available as an open beta. Now all owners of the game have received it.
- It focuses primarily on the visuals. Improved have been the so-called skyboxes, which received HDR version, making weather effects look noticeably better. This can be seen in a thunderstorm, when the sky brightens due to flashes. SCS Software also focused on making it possible to see a prettier moon during night travel.
- Fans also got the long-awaited option to buy used semis, which are cheaper, but already have some mileage, which, among other things, affects the final rating after delivery.
- Also introduced were changes regarding damage, including permanent wear and tear, which can only be mitigated by completely repairing the vehicle. This is a more expensive procedure, but it is the only way to restore the truck and trailer to pristine condition.
- Key modifiers have also been added, enabling us to add button combinations designed to trigger an action. Previously, a single key, such as "G", had to be pressed to start the engine. Now nothing prevents you from entering a combination, such as Shift+G.
The full list of changes introduced in update 1.49 can be found here. In the case of American Truck Simulator update 1.49 is still in open beta, but it will probably also be officially released soon.
Finally, we remind you that November 30 will mark the release of an American Truck Simulator DLC, which will introduce areas of Kansas.
