Escape from Tarkov closed beta starting next month
All who pre-ordered Escape from Tarkov will be invited for the game's closed beta starting next month. See what the move to the next stage means for the existing players.
Realistic online shooter Escape from Tarkov, in development by Russian studio Battlestate Games, will soon enter the beta stage. According to a recent post on the official website, closed beta tests start in July, 2017. All those who pre-order the game will be invited for testing, regardless of when they made the purchase – if you want to participate, you can place an order here. The move from alpha to beta will also introduce a lot of improvements, including major code optimization, which will be warmly welcomed especially by players with a bit older systems.
Some other features that are going to come along with the closed beta are four new locations: Customs, Woods, Factory, and Shoreline (that last one is the biggest), a bunch of items (like weapons and customization parts), and a new trader selling western weapons (note that the game is set in Russia). Besides, players will be able to buy an insurance for the weapons and equipment carried into a raid, which will increase the chance of retaining it.
