Escape from Tarkov closed alpha date revealed

Escape from Tarkov will have a closed alpha testing period beginning on August 4, this year, according to the Battlestate Games’ announcement made on the title’s official website. The developers also explained the reasons behind keeping the alpha closed. In their opinion, “alpha testing should not only polish the project and add content, but thoroughly balance and flesh out the details of game mechanics”, and thus giving open access to the game “as is” serves no purpose. Moreover, Battlestate Games promised to present more features in the form of videos and streams in the time remaining to the beginning of the alpha testing.
