Enshrouded is an Intriguing Survival RPG With Knights and Castles

If you liked Valheim - the Nordic survival game that became a hit in 2021, then you should take a look at a game hitting many similar notes, set to appear on Steam this year. We are talking about Enshrouded, a game by German studio Keen Games.

Enshrouded recently appeared on Steam; the game can already be added to wish lists, and is expected to make its Early Access debut later this year. Similarities to Valheim are visible at first glance, but this time instead of the Nordic tenth world, we will find ourselves in the kingdom of Embervale, which stylistically resembles classic fantasy.

What will the gameplay consist of? As in many games of this type, we will start from scratch - without equipment, shelter and in a wilderness full of unfriendly creatures. A key role will be played by exploring the map in search of resources to craft items (weapons, clothing, etc.).

Naturally, we will also face the construction of a shelter - for this purpose we will probably use such resources as wood and stone. At first we'll build simple huts, but over time we'll expand and construct more complex structures, such as castles.

What kind of world will we end up in? As for the story, it will take us to the ruined kingdom of Embervale, where we will awaken as Born of Flame. The kingdom is stalked by monsters and the terrifying Mist.

We will be able to repel the attacks of the beasts with traditional weapons, such as a sword or a bow, but the game will also enable us to use magic attacks. Character progression will take the shape of an RPG tree, also a lot of opportunities for progression await us.

An interesting feature is the ability to recruit NPCs as potential craftsmen. Of the aspects worth mentioning, it should also be pointed ouy that in Enshrouded we will be able to play in co-op with up to 16 people.

Enshrouded is expected to debut later this year on Steam's Early Access.
