Enshrouded - How to Get Spell Charges (Staff Ammo)
Spell Charges are essential if you want to attack with a staff in Enshrouded. Here is how to get them.
Enshrouded lets the players choose between several weapons and associated playstyles. However, if you decide to use a Staff in battle, you may be surprised to find out that learning the right spells and having mana isn’t enough. In order to cast you also need a supply of specific items, called Spell Charges. We explain how to stock up on them below.
Enshrouded - How to Get Spell Charges (Staff Ammo)
Spell Charges in Enshrouded could be compared to ammunition for your Staff. Each spell has a different type of Charge, and they can be either crafted or collected.
At first, you will not have many options on your road to master magic. Early on in the game, you will unlock the recipe for a basic Staff, which requires 1 bone and 2 resin. Then, until you find the Survivor Alchemist who can teach you many magic-related recipes, your main source of Spell Charges will be Chests and Crates.
You can find Spell Charges all around Embervale. Certain types may be found more easily in some regions; for example, Heal Channel, which lets you use healing magic, is common in the southwest. Explore and see what you can find.
Spell Charges will unlock after finding specific resources, such as Fireball II, which deals 85 damage, and requires getting Amber for the first time.
Once you rescue the Alchemist, you can learn how to make a better Staff and craft more types of ammo for your Spells. Depending on the Spell Charge, you will need different ingredients, for example:
- Ice Bolt - 2 Water, 5 Shroud Liquid.
You can find rare materials around the map. Some of them are useful for creating Spell Charges, including:
- Water
- Bones
- Aureolin Flower
- Resin
- Shroud Liquid
Make sure to gather them whenever you can.
