Enshrouded Devs Promise Extensive Roadmap. Next Update Later This Month
Keen Games studio unveiled an impressive development plan for Enshrouded. In the upcoming months, the popular survival RPG will be enhanced with, among other things, new opponents, improved loot systems, and extras in the form of musical instruments and animals.
Enshrouded, a survival RPG, was released on Steam in Early Access at the end of January. Players were immediately drawn to the game of Keen Games studio and it had a truly impressive beginning. Great results, however, didn't cause the developers to rest on their laurels. On the contrary, driven by a wave of popularity, the devs aim to provide fans with the best ultimate version of the title.
Their ambitious approach to the development of Enshrouded is evidenced in the roadmap released yesterday.
[...] we've managed to land on a roadmap that we think will be of interest to everyone. For those of you who have shared your feedback on Feature Upvote, [a site where you can vote for specific changes to the game] a lot of these items will look familiar! One of the factors that makes us feel so confident in the evolution of Enshrouded is that in so many cases, your feedback and our vision for the game align pretty closely -- reads part of the announcement.
Although the devs didn't reveal a specific release schedule, the development plan presents an extensive list of improvements that will be implemented in the "next few updates" and a much shorter list of features to be introduced later in 2024. Some of the upcoming changes are intended to fix bugs in the game, while others will impact the gameplay.
According to information provided by Keen Games studio, Enshrouded will soon receive, among others:
- Hollow Halls Dungeons;
- performance improvements;
- replayable world quest;
- improved loot UI;
- new enemies and bosses;
- enemy patrols;
- weather system;
- animal farming.
In the later part of this year, the following are most likely to be introduced to the game:
- new biomes;
- world events;
- water.
However, the devs reserve the right to modify the "roadmap" as the game develops, as some of the planned elements may prove to be more challenging (or easier) to implement. Enshrouded players will soon be able to experience the effects of the developers' work through the upcoming update, set to be released later this month.
