Embracer Group Exceeds Ubisoft in Terms of Market Value
Ubisoft is no longer the most valuable company in the European games industry. Yesterday it was overtaken in terms of market capitalisation by Embracer Group, which includes THQ Nordic and Deep Silver, among other entities.

Embracer Group has become the most valuable game company in Europe, overtaking the previous leader, Ubisoft. At yesterday's close, Embracer's market capitalization amounted to €10.41 billion, while Ubisoft's was €10.31 billion.
The increase in Embracer Group's stock price is due to, among other things, the company's recent acquisitions. Last week, the Embracer acquired Gearbox Entertainment, devs of the Borderlands series, as well as the team at Aspyr Media. While in November last year the company acquired thirteen independent developers, including Polish team at Flying Wild Hog, the devs of the Shadow Warrior series.
Recall that the Embracer Group includes such entities as THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, Coffee Stain Studios and Saber Interactive.
