Elon Musk Plans to Stream His Diablo 4 Playthrough [Update: Stream Recording From X's Functionality Test]
Elon Musk has announced that he will stream his Diablo IV playthrough as part of his X (former Twitter) broadcast tests. The eccentric billionaire will try his hand at Nightmare Dungeons.
Update
Elon Musk made good on his announcements and held a stream of the Diablo 4 on X/Twitter as part of the testing of a new feature of that platform. A nearly 40-minute transcript of the gameplay can be found at this address. The counter next to the broadcast indicates 2.3 million viewers, although I think there were fewer watchers during the streaming.
Will Twitter prove to be a worthy rival to Twitch and YouTube in the battle for streamers' and viewers' attention? Time will tell.
Original news (September 28)
It's been known for a long time that Elon Musk is a fan of Diablo IV. The owner of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter) has repeatedly emphasized that Blizzard's new hack'n'slash is close to his heart and in every spare moment he plays it under the nickname "IWillNeverDie". If you were wondering how the billionaire actually handles the game, you'll find out soon enough.
After all, Musk has announced that he will soon launch a broadcast on X, during which he will go through Nightmare Dungeons without using Malignant Hearts. However, the billionaire asked that viewers not have too much expectations from his game. The purpose of the streaming will be to test the scaling of live broadcasts on X.
Although the broadcast was originally scheduled to take place tomorrow at 11 p.m. CET Musk had to postpone the event to 1:00 a.m. Then it turned out that he wouldn't be able to fire up the game at that hour either, so he postponed the stream to an unspecified date. Since then the billionaire has not announced when the broadcast will start, so it is worth keeping a close eye on his profile.
