Elex 2 Announced by Piranha Bytes
Piranha Bytes announced Elex 2, the sequel to the popular RPG from 2017. We have a trailer for you, as well as the first screenshots and some details.

E3 2021 is slowly coming to an end, but that doesn't mean all the highlights of the event are behind us. One of the last was the announcement of Elex 2 a sequel to the popular RPG. The fact that the game will live to see a sequel was mentioned about since 2017, but only now the project was officially revealed.
Elex 2 is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. No specific release date was given, limited the message to stating that the debut will take place soon.
The action of the game will begin a few years after the events of the first part. Jax, the main character of the prequel, unsuccessfully tried to warn the factions about the threat of the Invaders. After being ignored, he distanced himself from humanity and lived in solitude for a long time. Events at the beginning of the campaign in Elex 2, however, will force him to dust off his sword and plasma rifle and return to the battlefield. The developers didn't reveal too many details about the plot, assuring only that it will be extensive and will provide about 60 hours of fun.
Half of the game map offer completely new locations, and the old places will be appropriately reworked, to reflect the passage of time since the end of the first Elex. Devs initially considered enabling the option of importing save files, but eventually abandoned this idea, because most players chose one ending anyway.
Elex 2 will be a development of solutions from the first game, powered by Piranha Bytes' well-known engine. The graphics have been improved, but it's no revolution.
However, there is no shortage of novelties and changes. One of the biggest is the improvement of the jetpack. In the first part, it only enabled us to fly to places located higher up. However, in Elex 2 we will be able to freely fly around the map at high speed. Aerial combat is also possible. During sky battles we'll shoot, attack with melee weapons and use spells.
A card dedicated to the game has appeared on Steam. It shows, that Elex 2 will be released later this year.
