Ed Sheeran in Pokemon GO; Artist Announces In-game Event [UPDATED]
Ed Sheeran is gearing up for an imminent visit to Pokemon GO, possibly as part of another event.
Update
Niantic and The Pokemon Company have revealed details about Ed Sheeran's concert in Pokemon GO. The event will start on November 22 and will last until November 30. Players will be able to watch the artist's performance from within the game, through the news tab. The repertoire will include songs from = and Sheeran's upcoming album.
At the same time POGO will feature be a special event with water Pokemon in the main role (which, as we read, results from Sheeran's choice of this type of starter in each main installment). Squirtle, Totodile, and the rest of the water partners accompanying rookie trainers will make more frequent appearances in the wild. The first of them will be available with dark glasses (anime fans know what it's about), and with a bit of luck players will find the shiny variant.
In addition, a new cosmetic item for the avatar (available by entering the code: VVM87WGMMUZHTB8X) and stickers will be added to the game, andPOGO store will offer a free item pack. What's more, during the event we'll hear the song Overpass Graffiti.
Original message
There's constantly some event going on in Pokemon GO. Currently, the players are celebrating the imminent release of remakes of the two 4th-gen games from the main series, but the next event may not be related to the brand at all. Singer Ed Sheeran has revealed plans to collaborate with the creators of Pokemon GO. His post was also shared on the game's official Twitter account.

Neither the artist nor the devs at Niantic revealed any details. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it usually involved either sponsored Pokestops or in-game cosmetic items. In this case, we're guessing that the event will center more around music, as it did with the debut of a certain legendary, very musical Pokémon a few months ago. Unfortunately, we shouln't expecy a concert on the scale of those from Fortnite. We should get more information soon.
