EA Sports FC 24 Not Working on AMD Cards? EA Closes Topic; Players Propose Own Solutions
Many players who own EA Sports FC 24 on PC are having trouble launching the title despite Electronic Arts' assurances that it has already been resolved in a patch. Frustrated fans are finding their own ways to launch the game.
Those who have decided to preorder the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 24, have been playing the game since September 22. The game's launch on PC was quite problematic, and many players had problems with just firing up the game. Unfortunately, it turns out that complications still exist, even after the official launch of EA Sports FC 24 and several patches.
EA Sports FC 24 won't fire up
It's been over a week since players started create threads on Electronic Arts forums about the problem with launching the game on PC. To some, the title was crashing to the desktop after going to the menu. However, a number of players found themselves in a worse situation, as the game only displayed so-called "Splash Screen", i.e. the screen with the logo. Such people, therefore, could not even play EA Sports FC 24, which, let's note, is not a cheap game.
Interestingly, the problem with the launch of the title was complained about mainly by players with newer AMD graphics cards or the portable console ROG Ally, which uses the company's GPU. However, there are also those who cannot run the game on a PC with components from Intel. Although this is not the rule, but from the entries of players it can be concluded that EA Sports FC 24 simply has a problem with newer devices.
Unfortunately, the issue is still on the lips of gamers, as many of them still can't launch the title. Electronic Arts admittedly responded in created threads to the reported problems and assured that they have been solved in a patch. Despite EA's advice, several small updates and the threads being marked as "resolved" by game support, EA FC 24 continues to frustrate players unable to launch it.
Player solutions
EA Sports FC 24 forums began to see comments from people who, on their own, tried to fix the problem with the game, especially the one with launching it. If you also have difficulties with the title on PC, it is worth trying out these tips - we have listed them below.
- Check carefully the minimum system requirements of the game - perhaps your PC does not meet them. To do this, you can use the DxDiag program. You can read more about it here.
- Create a new Windows profile and run EA Sports FC 24 as administrator.
- Fix the game directly from the application on which you have it installed - in the EA App select FC 24, click "Manage" and then "Repair."
- Switch to your PC's integrated graphics card.
- If you can launch EA FC 24, but the game throws you out of the menu, then try going into offline mode in the EA App, then launching the title and exiting, going into online mode in the app and firing up the game again.
The above advice does not work for everyone. In that case, it remains to wait for the next patches (the next one is expected to come out today) - perhaps they will solve the problems appearing on your PC with the game.
It is worth noting that this is not the first such incident. Although the previous soccer game from EA, FIFA 23, also did not launch for many people playing on PC.
