As we get closer to the release of Dying Light 2, the developers, who have been silent for years, are now publishing more and more information about the game. Techland has confirmed that the second Dying Light for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have a free upgrade for the ninth-generation consoles.

The developers have also released two trailers showcasing the graphical modes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Both videos, although non-identical, basically present the same thing. All ninth-generation consoles will offer three graphics modes: Resolution (4K resolution), Quality (ray tracing enabled) and Performance (minimum 60 frames per second). You can watch the trailers below.

Unfortunately, some time ago, Techland also confirmed that there will be no cross-play between consoles, even when they are from the same manufacturer (at least not on the release date). The only cross-play we'll see will be on PC, as the game will allow users of Steam and Epic Games Store to play together.

Dying Light 2 will debut on February 4 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. There are also plans for a release on Nintendo Switch via the cloud, but we'll wait a little longer for that (six months max).
