Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties Delayed
The Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties expansion will not be released in October. Techland has decided to spend more time for final touches.
Original Dying Light 2 suffered quite a few delays before it finally conquered the market in 2022. Apparently, the curse still weighs on the team at Techland, which has just announced a delay of the story expansion Bloody Ties (via Twitter).
Fortunately, the delay is relatively minor, as only one month is mentioned. Instead of October 13 Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties will be released on November 10 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The extra time is to enable the team to polish the expansion and eliminate bugs so that players get the most refined product possible.
It is worth recalling that Bloody Ties is expected to be significantly different from the basic version of Dying Light 2. So it is possible that the changes translated into a sizable population of bugs, which would explain the delay.
As a consolation, Techland encouraged players to ask questions on the Discord channel of the Dying Light brand. The developers will answer them this Friday at 6 pm CEST. Recall also that last week DL2 received a sizable content pack as part of the 1.6 update.
