Dungeonborne - Mithril Order Explained. Game Mode for Beginners
If you would like to give Dungeonborne a try in more merciful environment, Mithril Order game mode can be just for you. Here you will learn all you need to know about it.
Arguably, Dungeonborne is one of the biggest competitors of Dark and Darker. Despite their differences, they convey a similar vibe of losing oneself in a dark, dire, and unforgiving world where monsters, but also other players, just wait to hunt you down. Both are free-to-play and in the Early Access stage of their development. If you feel tempted to give those games a try, yet you are afraid to deep dive into the unknown, Dungeonborne offers an interesting, beginner friendly mode called Mithril Order. If that gets your attention, here you will learn more about how it works in greater detail.
Mithril Order in Dungeonborne explained
Most of us require spending some time with a game to get good at it. Dungeon crawlers like Dungeonborne can be unforgiving and having a safe environment to practice and learn is always a good idea, hence the creators from Mithril Interactive gave us such an opportunity in a game mode called Mithril Order.
- The first and most important information about this type of gameplay is that it offers you three predefined and fully equipped classes to choose from: Mithril Zealot (Fighter), Mithril Devout (Priest), Mithril Shadow (Rogue).
- Gaining reputation will allow you to unlock new abilities connected with your faction as well as better starting gear.
- Reputation level can be increased by battling, dealing damage, and eliminating other players.
- Since this is a more forgiving mode, dying won’t lose any progress on your main character. Use this opportunity to discover maps and learn more about the game and its mechanics safely.
- Upon escape, every item that you’ve gathered will be dismantled for materials or sold for treasure automatically and sent to your main character. Due to that it is a great way to farm those risk free.
- Mithril Order classes have gear and abilities that are weaker than usual main game characters.
- As a fun fact, this game mode was featured as a main playtest mode in September 2023, allowing one to experience how Dungeonborne looked like in the earlier stages of development.
At the time of writing this article, it is just the first iteration of Mithril Order in the production. Bear in mind that because of this fact, as well as due to the title being in Early Access, some details or inner workings of this game mode can be a subject to change. Make sure to stay up to date with the latest patch notes. Have fun!
