DualShock 5 Renders - PS5 Controller Looks Great
LetsGoDigital has shown graphics with the 3D model of DualShock 5, the controller for PlayStation 5. The first thing that stands out is the small screen on the gamepad instead of the touch panel.
LetsGoDigital presented renders that show the probable appearance of DualShock 5, the dedicated controller for PlayStation 5. Let us remind that the same website is responsible for creating renders of the PS5 itself. Admittedly, the project looks really interesting and illustrates the DualShock 5 patent registered by Sony (although we must remember that the name has not yet been officially confirmed). Below you can see the renders prepared by LetsGoDigital.
From what we can see, the controller has not seen any drastic changes compared to its predecessor. The distance between analog knobs and the layout of the buttons remains unchanged. What is new, however, is the change in the layout of the Share and Options buttons, which landed in the area around the knobs. Instead of a touch panel, we get a small screen, assuming the renders are true, of course. However, the most interesting signs are the functions of the new pad. DualShock 5 is to use the recently registered Sony patent that allows the controller to be used by more than one remote user at a time.
In practice, the idea is that one player can share their game session with others, giving them partial or full control over the pad. The possibility of assigning different functions or buttons to other players can be a great solution for people with disabilities.
Of course, we would like to remind that these are only theoretical concepts and three-dimensional models of the controller. Please do not take this information for granted, as the official confirmation can only be given with the official presentation of PlayStation 5, which is expect next year.
