Dragon Age 4 Enters Alpha, Reaching Important Milestone
Work on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf continues. BioWare has announced that the game has just entered the alpha phase.
Eight years have passed since the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition and the fourth installment of the series still seems like a distant future. Now, however, we have received details on the progress of work on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. They show that the title is currently in alpha version.
In a post published on the series' official website, BioWare's managing director Gary McKay described the current stage of work on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Entering the alpha phase means that at this point the game can already be played from beginning to end. However, most of its elements still need to be polished. Currently, the team will focus on polishing the visuals and bringing the gameplay to the best possible condition.
At the same time, it was emphasized that all solutions to appear in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, are being consulted with members of the "community council," the verification team and participants in internal tests.
In addition, McKay suggested that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf places an even greater emphasis on characters than it had been the case in previous installments. He also reiterated that the game will take us to the Tevinter Empire - more specifically, that we will visit its capital, Minratus.
There's no denying it, the announcement in question is quite a breakthrough. Progress on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been one big mystery, but now it's clear that the developers are making progress and the whole thing is starting to take shape. However, we still don't know when we'll know more details about the game - much less we do not know the release date of the fourth Dragon Age.
