Don't Starve devs' next game Oxygen Not Included is now in Alpha
They created Don't Starve, Mark of the Ninja, Shank, and a couple of other neat games. Now, Klei Entertainment is ready to share a playable version of their next title, Oxygen Not Included, with their fans.
Klei Enterteinment, the studio that gave us Don’t Starve, Mark of the Ninja, and Shank, have taken their next title Oxygen Not Included into a playable Alpha stage. Although it’s not exactly part of Steam Early Access initiative, you can get the game on Steam for $19.99 and start plaing already, while it’s still its an early build. The price is expected to rise in the future.
Oxygen Not Included is a space-colony simulation game with heavy elements of survival. While playing, you have to manage your community of space colonists and help them maintain their subterranean asteroid base. In order to keep your people alive you have to provide them with essentials, like pure water, food, warmth and, obviously, oxygen. Only having provided these basic things, can you even start thinking about how to make them happy.
In time the developers want to expand the way that temperature and stress work in the game, add more biomes, creatures and artifacts as well as introduce new ways to create sustainable systems for resources. The final version is slated for launch on May 10, 2017. Check out the entire roadmap for Oxygen Not Included on Klei Entertainment’s official forums.
