That's the kind of gift for people for whom the anime references in Cyberpunk 2077 weren't enough. The set will hit store shelves this summer.
In September, two years will have passed since the premiere of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The Netflix anime expanded the universe made popular by the CD Projekt RED game, attracting numerous new players to the screen and helping revive the brand after a moderately successful premiere. Fans are still eager to return to David Martinez's story, even if there is nothing to look forward to.
However, the lack of a second season doesn't mean that we say goodbye to Edgerunners forever. An RPG inspired by the series will soon appear in stores.
Return of favorite characters on paper
Last November, R. Talsorian Games, known for creating Cyberpunk as a tabletop RPG, announced the start of work on an expansion based on the 2022 anime. We didn't have to wait long for results because we have received specific information now.
According to the information on the official website, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit will be a boxed set of missions set right after the end of the series. The publisher presents the set as "an ideal introduction to the original Cyberpunk" for people previously unfamiliar with paper RPGs.
New players get to take their first steps into Night City, while returning players get access to the taste of all the new cyberware, gear, and weapons, especially the new Power, Tech, and Smart Weapon types.

The set will include three books with a total of 120 pages, offering not only the necessary instructions to dive into the game world, but also expanded stories about the lore of anime characters. We will be able to learn more not only about David and Lucy (the protagonists of the anime), but also about the rest of the crew - including the fan-favorite Rebecca.
The whole will be visually complemented by dice in Edgerunners style. Furthermore, the project is supervised by Mike Pondsmith (creator of Cyberpunk) and Hiroyuki Imaishi (director of the anime), who also created seven new characters for the player.
When exactly will we return to Night City?
According to information from the publisher, the premiere of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit is scheduled for the second half of June this year. This means that we are a little over a month away from returning to the beloved world of anime.
The set will cost $35. At the moment, it isn't known whether the game will be officially released in our country.
