Disney Doesn't Want Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean

Johnny Depp is unlikely to return to the role of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. Great reluctance to hire the actor is shown quite bluntly by Disney.

The Hollywood Reporter recently published a very comprehensive editorial, in which the website accounts for all the sins that the actor has committed over the past few years. The article draws arguments and quotes against him, proving that he also used verbal and non-verbal aggression against Amber Heard, and tried to take revenge on her.

Due to a private feud with his partner, the actor had to resign from Grindelwald's role in Fantastic Bests 3(he had already been replaced by Mads Mikkelsen). However, fans continued to fight for the star's return to the Pirates of the Caribbean series, hoping for his appearance as Jack Sparrow in the upcoming spin-off next to Margot Robbie. They even made petitions to that effect. However, THR's report makes it clear that they don't have the power to make a difference, because Disney has long decided that Depp has no future in this pirate universe. The company was said to have taken this stance even before the trial against The Sun in the UK.

Disney was constantly persuaded to change his mind by Jerry Bruckheimer, an important Hollywood persona and producer of all Pirates of the Caribbean films. He even demanded a small cameo to honor Depp's legendary role as an actor, but his arguments fell on deaf ears.

At the same time Depp was fighting to get back at his partner. He wrote to his sister, Christi Dembrowski, a producer who has influence in Warner Bros., that he would like to get rid of Amber Heard from the cast of Aquaman 2. He also threw insults and threats at his ex-wife. Actor Paul Bettany even received an SMS from Depp with the following contents: "Let's burn Amber!!! "Let's drown her before we burn her!!! I will f**k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she's dead." After The Hollywood Reporter's article, there can be no doubt that it wasn't just Amber Heard who was the bad guy in this story, even though such narrative dominated the internet and social space. In short, we are simply talking about a very sad, toxic, celebrity relationship.
