Diablo Immortal Players Still Lose Millions of XP; Battle Pass Fixes Don't Work
Apparently, Blizzard's recently released hotfix for Diablo Immortal did not live up to expectations. The game still suffers from a bug that causes users to lose correctly earned experience points.
We all realize that no game is free of bugs. In some cases, there are serious glitches that prevent further gameplay, while others involve only minor visual inconveniences. The problem recently encountered by Diablo Immortal, lies somewhere in between.
XP "theft"
According to information reported by PCGamesN, for some time now Diablo Immortal players are complaining that they are being "robbed" of experience points due to them from the game's battle pass. In short, XP earned during gameplay were not awarded to them correctly.
Quick fix
As expected, last weekend Blizzard specialists released a patch, which they claimed would fix the aforementioned bug plaguing Diablo Immortal.
"(...) XP in various Battle Pass tasks were not being rewarded to players. There was a hotfix to address this and the team is going through to calculate each individuals lost XP through the time periods affected by this bug. We have this data. The XP will be delivered once we go through the data," reads the statement from a company spokesperson on Reddit.
That doesn't work
However, the fix was of little use, as a large number of players are still complaining that the problem has not been eliminated. To make matters worse, there are claims that due XP has not been returned.. Below you can read some selected comments of exasperated Reddit users.
"I can confirm this. After today's reset I completed the orders and reached a rank in battle pass, the XP animation played, but the XP bar did not increase at all," mdkubit.
"So far, two level ups in battle pass and neither gave XP. I thought they said they fixed it with a hotfix? Ah man, this game is lol," Revorne-Rev.
"I have lost about six levels so far," Alaschaa.
"In my case it was fixed, but unfortunately they didn't reward me with any XP for the previous levels I lost...," Tacosonamonday.
The money flows
As you can see for yourself, the current problems and dissatisfaction of players can be added to the already long list of complaints adressed at Activision Blizzard. The publisher has not had an easy life in recent weeks, but to wipe away the tears the company's management will probably use the millions of dollars brought in every day by the criticized Diablo Immortal (you can read more about it here).
Finally, let's note that at the time of writing this post, Blizzard's position on the failed patch was unknown.
