Blizzard currently has no plans to remove the major bug in Diablo 4's fifth season, so as not to spoil the fun for players. Adam Fletcher, Community Development Director, confirmed that the bug related to tempering will remain in the game, but most likely only until the end of this season (via X).

Players have noticed a glitch related to the mechanics introduced in Season 4 of D4 - Tempering. Just a reminder: this system allows you to change item affixes into specific bonuses. This involves finding the appropriate recipes during the game, which were meant to disappear at the beginning of each season, i.e. every 3 months. At least in theory.

It turned out that seasonal player characters retained the legendary tempering recipes from the previous season. This goes without saying, but it made it much easier to promote new characters to higher experience levels (via Reddit).

The oversight on Blizzard's part is quite serious (although not surprising; after all, it's the first new season after loot changes) and one might wonder about the devs' reaction to this problem. Blizzard has decided to keep the redundant recipes until the end of Season 5, even though it wasn't the team's original intention. However, Fletcher added that players shouldn't expect a similar gift in the upcoming seasons.

Players appear to be enjoying themselves in the Infernal Hordes, even though these aren't the only bugs in the new season of Diablo 4. The mode itself also seems to be much improved compared to the public tests. However, for now, there are relatively few opinions, and players - who eagerly joined the game - are still learning about the new things introduced by Blizzard.

By the way: a certain internet user demonstrated how his character jumped from the 29th level to the 63rd "in one second" (via Reddit). If his words are to be trusted, it wasn't related to tempering items.
