Before Diablo 4 Season 1 Launches; Patch Will Nerf Most Powerful Builds
The first season of Diablo 4 is just around the corner - but first we're facing patch 1.1.0. It will nerf every stronger character build. Players are worried that their favorites will be affected.
This Thursday will see the first season of online play in Diablo IV. While providing the date of its launch, Blizzard announced that two days earlier, i.e. July 18 (tomorrow), the game will receive update 1.1.0 - the biggest update since launch.
Why is this important? Because the list of changes released then will tell us which character builds have been nerfed - and how heavily.
- This could affect the character class that players will choose in the first season.
- We know, for example, that the so-called Shard Druid will be weakened. What kind of builds besides these did Blizzard consider? Players are full of concerns.
What's more, there will be new aspects in the Realm of Eternity. It will be possible to test them on current characters.
- It is possible that some of them will be improved thanks to this.
- Above all, however, we will find out which ones will turn out to be worth getting during the season.
Better launch Diablo 4 in the coming days
In a note titled "The upcoming Season of Malignant," shared on the in-game news channel, Blizzard gave one more reason why it will be worth launching Diablo IV between July 18 and 20:
"Most importantly, we encourage you to log in to Diablo IV with the most advanced character in the Realm of Eternity [...]. This will ensure that progress made in the campaign and while exploring the map and unlocking Lilith altars will be transferred from your character in the Realm of Eternity to your new character in the Season Realm."
As a result, with the Season character it is possible to continue - or simply skip, if you have already completed it - the main storyline of the game from the point you reached in the normal, non-seasonal mode - only that gaining experience levels will start from the beginning.
Discovered parts of the map and found altars of Lilith will also not need to be unlocked anew. Nevertheless, in order to access the seasonal content, you need to complete the entire campaign (in or out of season).
"Hatred's Chosen" temporarily disabled
It is worth mentioning that on the night of July 14-15, Blizzard's community manager, Adam "PezRadar" Fletcher, communicated that the team has detected a problem in PvP mode. Therefore - through a "hotfix" - he temporarily disabled the event "Hatred's Chosen", which could activate in the Fields of Hatered (in a special PvP zone).
- Although the associated interface elements are still visible, neither the bonus nor the rewards will be awarded.
- Blizzard is expected to work on solving this problem and inform the community as soon as it is fixed.
