After More Than 20 Years, Diablo 2 Finally Runs at 60 FPS
Thanks to the Project Diablo II mod, after more than two decades Blizzard's iconic game is finally running at 60 frames per second. However, this is not the end of surprises for players.
Diablo II will soon turn 23 years old, but that doesn't mean the legendary RPG can't continue to evolve and look fresh. This has been proven by the creators of the mod called Project Diablo II.
Released a few days ago, the latest version of the said modification is described as created "for and by Diablo II enthusiasts". And indeed, looking at the impressive list of improvements that the creators have made to the oldie, it's hard to disagree.
Among them we can find an HD minimap, changes in key skills, new helpers, more difficult challenges or rare items. The icing on the cake, however, is smooth 60 fps.

Two years ago, the creators of the D2DX project picked up a similar project, albeit they focused only on the visual aspect of the game. Natively, a number of visual improvements are also offered by Diablo 2: Resurrected, which is a successful remaster of the second game.
Finally, let's recall that the next installment - Diablo IV - will launch on June 6.
