Detroit: Become Human Appreciated by Another Million Buyers This Year
Detroit: Become Human has sold 9 million copies, and in 2023 alone Quantic Dream's game reached one million players.
In January, Quantic Dream boasted a considerable success: after 4.5 years, its latest game has sold 8 million copies. It doesn't stop there, however, as in 2023 alone, another million copies of Detroit: Become Human were sold.
The French developer announced the game's sales on social media and it's hardly surprising that the team is pleased with this success. Admittedly, the title didn't improve its score as much as it did a year ago, but another million copies is no small achievement for a more than five-year-old adventure game.
The title, of course, has had sales this year, and in October it even had a historically low price on Steam (though still higher than in the best deal on PC so far from more than two years ago on Epic Games Store).
Nevertheless, the fact that Detroit is still quite popular five years after its release and three years after its debut on PC speaks well of the game. As do the numerous and very positive reviews from Steam users: gamers have given the title almost 100,000 reviews, 94% of which are positive. The game is equally well rated on platforms PlayStation Store and EGS.
Unfortunately, for now it does not look like Quantic Dream is preparing a sequel (or at least a visual patch for PlayStation 5). This is because the developer is busy working on Star Wars: Eclipse, although also for this project we may have to wait a long time.
